Chuck McCammon - TriCounty Health Department

Charles S. McCammon, is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University, a MS in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Cincinnati, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Health from Colorado State University.

Dr. McCammon is currently Director of the Industrial Hygiene Program at Tri-County Health Department representing 3 of the 5 major counties in the Denver Colorado metropolitan area. He oversees environmental and occupational health issues for the 3 counties. Prior to coming to Tri-County Health Department 5 years ago, Dr. McCammon worked for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for 28 years in various capacities, the latest as the Director of the Denver Field Office. This office was involved with the investigation of occupation health hazards in the 22 western states. Other major areas of interest include the design and testing of directreading instruments for gases and vapors, the development of personal sampling analytical and sampling methods, historical exposure estimation for retrospective epidemiological studies, and industry-wide characterization of exposures for selected industries. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Colorado State University.
